CLO #3

Recognize and practice key rhetorical terms and strategies when engaged in writing situations.

Prior to the course I never addressed rhetorical elements when writing an essay. When we started learning and understanding rhetorical elements I would face some struggles understanding how to address each and everyone one of them. For example when writing my reflection papers I would state that the audience is “my professor” or anyone who is interested in this topic. As professor Carr explained to me these statements are too broad and need to be expanded on. Another rhetorical element I found  some confusion with was exigence. It was more the fact that I didn’t clearly understand what the word had mean’t and never focused on what had driven me to write something. Through continuous practice I have met this CLO as each of my essays present the use of rhetorical elements.
