CLO #6

Locate research sources (including academic journal articles, magazine and newspaper articles) in the library’s databases or archives and on the Internet and evaluate them for credibility, accuracy, timeliness, and bias.

This CLO was one of the most important ones to meet as for two of our major writing pieces we had to present a lot of research and information from various articles, books, and journals. We even had a woman join our zoom session and explain which databases provide the most credible and extensive information and how to navigate these databases. I met CLO #6 through use of CCNY library database and various article I found on google. My topic of pro athletes taking part in social protests is more of a contemporary topic which made it difficult to find a journals in the CCNY library database. I did have to rely on google scholar and the regular google search to find my articles but I always made sure that they were from a credible source and provided accurate information.
